About Ushaka Marine World, Durban
Everything you could possibly require of a water theme park, the uShaka marine world provides. Boasting the fifth largest marine aquarium in the world, the park also hosts a waterplay park, a beach and an African themed village. The aquarium is the main attraction. A large number of sharks, rays and other large fish draw people from everywhere. These are after all, the world’s finest predators. And yes, you can get up and close with the creatures; for an extra fee, you’ll be able to go snorkelling or diving in a shark cage. Make sure to watch the seal and dolphin shows. A dryer but no less dangerous exhibit is the Dangerous Creatures section, housing crocs, spiders, snakes and scorpions. The water-parks main attraction is Africa’s highest and most thrilling water slide. If, after a morning of touring, playing and eating you just want to walk around, the uShaka beach and the uShaka Village Walk make for lovely strolling grounds, taking you through cafes, an African themes area and a large pier heading out into the sea. Every area has it’s own dining option, but we recommend the cool them restaurants in the Sea World. You’ll easily spend an entire day here.

Ushaka Marine World, Durban Reviews
The ocean walker is a must do. I had the best experience under water with my action camera and I just wanted to stay there forever. Wet and wild was great but required too much exercise going up the stairs for every slide. X panda shark dive on the other hand is scary and is only for the super brave. A lunch at the cargo hold was amazing as the fish were maneuvering around the tank. All in all, this is an amazing place to relax and live life to the fullest
Good food great place. Money well spent. Something for everyone and plenty to do. There is a village walk mall with clothing stalls and restaurants. It has a lovely theme and good vibe. Wish their live shows could be less noisier. We couldn't hear each other or even place an order to eat. It's clean neat and safe. There are many activities for young and old and so enjoyable
Really excellent architecture, the different shios through the ages and one being upside down. Exhibits are well thought out and implemented. The staff are knowledgeable and helpful. A great day of learning. The water world has exciting activities. Fun time.
Great place to entertain the children as well as the young at heart.. Water babies will feel right at home. Be sure to wear your most comfortable shoes because walking will be the name of the game. Cute novelty stores. Found an awesome fudge shop.. Left with more than I could carry. Loads of animals to admire. Always a photographer handy to capture those special moments. Pictures are very pricy tho. Certain areas were cordoned off due to maintenance.. Despite that there were so many areas to explore and enjoy. Dolphin Stadium is a national treasure! If your having a bad day, go and see them.
So much fun for the kids! Educational also... from the dolphin show, penguin show, seal show, right through to the aquarium. Enlightening for the adults also. The water activities are a great way to cool off! Totally worth it! Just be prepared to spend on food and drinks as you can't bring your own into the facilities.
