About Ushaka Marine World, Durban
Everything you could possibly require of a water theme park, the uShaka marine world provides. Boasting the fifth largest marine aquarium in the world, the park also hosts a waterplay park, a beach and an African themed village. The aquarium is the main attraction. A large number of sharks, rays and other large fish draw people from everywhere. These are after all, the world’s finest predators. And yes, you can get up and close with the creatures; for an extra fee, you’ll be able to go snorkelling or diving in a shark cage. Make sure to watch the seal and dolphin shows. A dryer but no less dangerous exhibit is the Dangerous Creatures section, housing crocs, spiders, snakes and scorpions. The water-parks main attraction is Africa’s highest and most thrilling water slide. If, after a morning of touring, playing and eating you just want to walk around, the uShaka beach and the uShaka Village Walk make for lovely strolling grounds, taking you through cafes, an African themes area and a large pier heading out into the sea. Every area has it’s own dining option, but we recommend the cool them restaurants in the Sea World. You’ll easily spend an entire day here.

Ushaka Marine World, Durban Reviews - Write a Review
Excellent little marine and water park and good value for money. Everything is well maintained with friendly and helpful staff. They have a very laudable environmental message too. Only criticism is that maybe some of the display tanks could be interactive? The kids we were with didn't want to read any of the signs / display panels.... shame as they were really interesting 😕
Fantastic aquarium, featuring beautiful displays with well kept animals. Definitely worth the visit for any marine animal lover. There are dolphin and seal shows for the kids and there are many different places to eat and caters for families. The entire park is right on the beach and close to a pretty good snorkelling area, one can easily make an entire day of a visit to uShaka. Worth the visit when in Durban.
Very safe for families and there's a very good place for everyone to swim it includes swimming pools with slides. It's also jungle feel area There's dolphins, sharks and all kinds of sea animals in a huge tank.. it's highly entertaining. Different kinds of restaurants
This is a good option for a day out, especially if you're lucky enough to get good weather, besides the aquarium the zip line and play area are great options for children. The aquarium is also opened at night which is also great as it is much quieter and there isn't much of a crowd. There are several restaurants and shops as well but check in advance if any music shows are happening on the day as they close off the dolphin/seal shows/lazy river.
Awesome day, looking at the beautiful sea creatures in their specific environments! Fish and all creatures seemed happy and tanks well maintained Beautiful displays with many friendly staff everywhere to assist visitors! Thank you for the team there Keep up the great work!
