Everything you could possibly require of a water theme park, the uShaka marine world provides. Boasting the fifth largest marine aquarium in the world, the park also hosts a waterplay park, a beach and an African themed village. The aquarium is the main attraction. A large number of sharks, rays and other large fish draw people from everywhere. These are after all, the world’s finest predators. And yes, you can get up and close with the creatures; for an extra fee, you’ll be able to go snorkelling or diving in a shark cage. Make sure to watch the seal and dolphin shows. A dryer but no less dangerous exhibit is the Dangerous Creatures section, housing crocs, spiders, snakes and scorpions. The water-parks main attraction is Africa’s highest and most thrilling water slide. If, after a morning of touring, playing and eating you just want to walk around, the uShaka beach and the uShaka Village Walk make for lovely strolling grounds, taking you through cafes, an African themes area and a large pier heading out into the sea. Every area has it’s own dining option, but we recommend the cool them restaurants in the Sea World. You’ll easily spend an entire day here.

Being Durban’s, or for that matter South Africa’s most celebrated water theme park, Ushaka Marine World tickets are highly anticipated by visitors. • Absolutely loved it. A hit with the kids. Go early in the morning so have more time to do everything. Bring your swim wear of course, besides the beach there are the tube rides inside. The dolphin show is amazing. There is swimming with the sharks for brave people. The variety of sea life to see is amazing. Some food stalls, more snacks or walk around food tat sit down meals. Pram access easy. Weather always lovely.

  • The relaxed retail atmosphere of the uShaka Village Walk is a great little tourist destination. My Favourite shop was the African Art Centre - where you can find incredible examples of local artists' work - bright, intricate beaded colours & authentic indigenous carvings. Awesome African gifting for guys and girls. The beachfront upgrades are also nearing completion - which will enhance the whole destination as a truly unique experience in Durban. If you haven't been for a stroll down there on the weekend - you're missing out !! You can hire all types of bicycles, carts, pedal machines etc. if you want an alternative to footing it.

  • All that and a bag of chips.. more enjoyable during the week when it's not too full. Loads of enjoyable things to do for the entire family. Dining choice cater for all budgets. Staff are super funny and amazingly professional and friendly. Thoroughly enjoyed my time there...

  • Greatest tourist attraction in Durban. A genuine love and respect for wildlife. Great vibe and entertainment all day round. Crazy fun at wet n wild with some insane adrenaline filled water slides and very educational as well as mesmerizing tanks that actually make you feel as if you're in an actual shipwreck underwater. You really do get to see the best of both worlds here. Dangerous creatures gives you the creeps because of their exceptional variety of reptile and amphibian species and the Aquarium gives you the feeling of literally being under the sea with their gorgeous species of Fish, Rays and Sharks. You can also interact with the animals. There is a variety of food to choose from in the village walk and all restaurants are environmentally friendly and offer great food.

  • I only did the sea world (aquarium) potion of what is offered but I was absolutely blown away. Phenomenal up close and personal encounters with marine life. Fun and educational. You feel as though you are exploring a silent pirate ship and see all kinds of fish and marine life. Awesome shark feeling. Amazing seal show. Great dolphin show. If you are in Durban an absolute must.
