One of the largest complexes with remnants of antebellum plantation, the Stagville State Historic Site is equipped with four original and historic slave quarters. The Stagville State Historic Site preserves a significant part of the thirty thousand acres owned by the Bennehan-Cameron Family, along with the slave dwellings for the nine hundred slaves they owned. From Tuesday to Saturday, you can reserve the guided tour to the preserved structures namely the Bennehan Home, the Horton Home, the Great Barn and the Horton Grove –all of which dating back to 18th century to 19th century.
