Located on an island off Dwarka, the Bhadkeshwar Mahadev Mandir is one of the most curious places around the city. The pier road that leads to the temple gets submerged under the sea during high tide, making it impossible to reach the island. During low tide, the pathways remain above the water.
The temple is 5000 years old and is dedicated to Chandra-Mouliswar Shiva. The deity of the temple was found by Acharya Jagatguru Sankaracharya at the confluence of the Gomtri river, Ganga and the Arabian Sea. Apart from the temple, the island has 1200 Salgramshilas, 75 Sankaracharyas, and 1300 Shivlingams.
Even though its religious significance is massive, the temple has become a loved spot to see the Arabian Sea, especially during sunsets when the gorgeous terrain is covered in shades of red and orange.

Its a small temple dedicated to lord Shiva. From the temple one gets a beautiful view of the sea. Beautiful is not the word. It was so pleasant n peaceful. The view of the surroundings from here is very nice. Covered with sea from both the sides it's a beautiful walk. Since the day time the place becomes very hot under the sun , I visited in the evening before sun set. Had a great view of sunset. Its also a sun set point.
