About Extended Stay America Meadowlands - East Rutherford, East Rutherford

American Dream Meadowlands (ADM) is a retail and entertainment complex under construction in the Meadowlands Sports Complex in East Rutherford, New Jersey that will contain over 500 stores. It was first proposed in 2003 by the Mills Corporation as the Meadowlands Xanadu. After the bankruptcy of that company in 2007, the project was taken over by Colony Capital. In May 2009, construction stalled due to the bankruptcy of Lehman Brothers. The Triple Five Group announced intent to take over the mall in May 2011, and on July 31, 2013, officially gained control of the mall and the surrounding site. After a series of hand-offs, financing issues, construction delays, and legal challenges, construction stopped again in December, 2016. In July 2017, construction had resumed, with new financing secured.

  • If I could give a negative rating I would. Where do I start, ordered 2 beds, only got 1. No hot water. No sheets on beds. Fire alarm at 1230am. Dirty hotel, rooms, and bathrooms. Smells like smoke. Stay away!!!!!

  • We found this place last minute and booked online. When we got there our reservation had not yet processed in their system and it took us close to 20 minutes to get checked in. The employee at the desk was rude. The room was decently clean, except for the condom rapper on the floor near our bed and the hair left in the shower drain. The breakfast was a joke. It consisted of granola bars and oatmeal packets. Factor in breakfast on your travel budget before you book here. The wifi is slow, but we did have hot water and were right in front of Metlife Stadium which was convenient. I would recommend if you are on a budget, you truly get what you pay for at this hotel.

  • Worst place and staff ever! Disgusting rooms! Sticky floors! Best of all.... They let us check in and then post signs the following morning that there will be NO HOT WATER! Well we worked all day and need a shower! Who would check into a hotel knowing there's no hot water?! They refused a refund! We will be putting a dispute on the card... The management staff are the worst ever... Literally wanted to jump over the counter! If you ever choose to stay here you Need your head examined!

  • Cheap is cheap I pity the front desk employee. Just 1. Had to run the front desk and deliver dishes to the rooms. Very, very poor internet. Candy bars are what they call breakfast . A very long time to check in. Very old furniture. No doors On the closets. $100 plus .

  • We have stayed here a few times before and had a couple minor problems, but nothing like this experience. The entire hotel smelled. The first room was filthy. There was trash on the counter, toilet paper in the toilet and the tub was dirty. Also, the beds were not made. We were given a second room. That one smelled too and there were pubic hairs in the bath tub. We went next door to the Hilton. It's was $4 more, and it's clean.
