Located on the shores of the Bay of Bengal, the ruins of the limestone and brick built 17th century Alamparai Fort offers magnificent views. This Moghul built fort was once a thriving dockyard area from where extensive trading took place, but now the structure is gradually ruining with the natural calamities, sea breeze and ocean earthquake. You can hire any local fisherman who will take you around the fort complex on boat or you can also cover the fifteen acre fort complex on foot to explore the mausoleum located at the center. Brick staircases will take you on top of the Alamparai Fort and from the watch tower you can enjoy the panoramic view.
