The highest mountain in the UK at 1345 metres. Stunning scenery all round. Fort William is a nice town to prepare in. The climb up is relentless but the feeling at the summit is worth it. Amazing experience which I have done twice now. Part of the 3 peak challenge.
Climbed to the summit in Jan. Very worth while but pretty shocked witnessing the amount of tourists starting off with a jumper and trainers on... yeah, get some advise first before committing yourself as it's no walk in the park.
What a wonderful place to visit and go for a hike. A real achievement once completed and throughout are breathtaking views and just great to be out in the outdoors. I would highly recommended visiting and hiking, just start early and take your time and then you can enjoy everything.
one of the dull peaks in the UK. walking the tourist path you get a relatively pretty first half, but beyond that the walk has just the one view all the way up, and is more of a slog than an enjoyable walk or scramble. the path is easy to follow and well constructed, with large cairns to aid in bad weather, but overall it's one of the less interesting peaks I've done.
It was few years ago. It was amazing day of sunshine ☀ I've been feeling not well at all when we arrived to the car park, first path till end of the trees was nightmare for me, but later I get better and I get on my own rhythm and I overtook my own family that I was waiting for 20 minutes on the top. It was very very windy but sunny day, it was amazing, that is not a high mountain where I've been but it very long way to get in, but I managed lol plus I get down to the car park also as first person from my family and I was waiting almost for a hour. I think 🤔 it takes me 3 hours to get back, but to get up might around same or at least 4 hours,, really I wasn't checking my time, I was enjoying the viewing, it was worth.
