Starbucks, Edinburgh Reviews
It's right on the Royal Mile and Bridges. Large upstairs seating section and always tends to be busy. I like the fact it's open until 10pm but it needs a bit of refurbishment and more comfortable seating.
Since when were Starbucks this money driven? Female staff refused us to check for seats before purchasing coffees. We have explained to her that a member of our group needs to sit down as he recently had an operation on his ankle but unless we purchased a drink first, we are not permitted to check for seats. We've resulted asking her if there were seats and her reply was maybe I don't know but you must by a drink first. For a company this size your customer service is extremely poor and staff are very money driven. This is unacceptable.
We walked in to ask if we could have some hot milk for our son. The manager gladly took his bottle for a charge of £1.50. I was a little disappointed and cancelled ordering a Rooibos Latté simply because Nero gave us hot milk free of charge and with a smile.
it's Starbucks - if you like Starbucks then you'll like here. it sits on the corner of a bustling, interesting square in Belfast so its outside tables on a warm day are v popular. i never see this branch without a big queue, perhaps I am there at the Peak busy times but the queue has put me off a few times.
Ok place to grab a quick coffee or a bite to eat. Just wish they would pay their taxes
