  • Reasonable price for the city centre. Very clean and modern, well appointed room and friendly professional staff. I will almost certainly stay here again.

  • Not bad, but nearby pub/club kept me awake until early hours. Woken again at 6 by bins being noisily emptied. Needed to be up at 8 - just as well as that's when the nearby roadworks started up. Not all the hotel's fault, but what they can't prevent they might consider insulating their residents from. The £5 'breakfast' turned out to be a packed affair. Not an experience I'm in any hurry to repeat at £50-odd a night.

  • Great location, nice reception staff, just a shame that the conversion to a travelodge has stripped every single original feature of a beautiful old building

  • Not very lovely. Room is ok, but the ground is unstable and noisy. The price is £70/day. There should be better choice for the tourist.

  • Amazing view down princes street, could see the castle(room 224). Very comfy bed, very clean, quiet even though right next to the street and building site
