Modern and trendy boutique hotel about a 10 minute walk from Princes street. Location is a little off-center but Edinburgh is so walkable it's not a problem. Room was very nice, modern and spacious. The shower in the bathroom was especially cool. I liked the large pictures of Scotland on the wall. Only negative as that there was no HVAC control in my individual room, so had to open windows to cool down. Also of note is that there is no elevator in this building, but not a problem for me. After midnight you have to ring the doorbell to get in. Overall a very good stay!
Great room, great view and location. A lot of stairs to the top floor but no big deal for a young couple like us
Booked through Expedia, simply looking for a hotel close to the city center and was delighted to find this gem. Surrounded by eateries and connections to the rest of the city it is easy to walk to all the principle points of interest and those further afield can be reached by public transport or the car hire office next door.
I stay here every year when I attend the Edinburgh Film Festival. You are made to feel very welcome and the rooms are beautiful. Being in the heart of the city centre is great for getting around.
Stayed in a deluxe suite, it was amazing. The room was perfection, the staff helpful and discrete. A particular highlight was the bathroom with huge soaking tub. Location was also ideal, with spitting distance of the Playhouse and a large number of excellent restaurants. We will definitely return.
