The family-run Scottish steak house Wildfire specializes in the simply seasoned beef and seafood dishes served in the cozy and casual setup. The interior of the restaurant is complemented by wooden and exposed tone decor while your food is complimented by their carefully selected artisan wines, beers and ciders. Wildfire, Edinburgh Reviews

  • Lots of restaurants in this part of Edinburgh and this one undoubtedly kept busy with drop-ins considering the great reviews on several sites. The reviews are well deserved. Local produce and unpretentious, great tasting food. Mussels were fresh and the steaks were cooked perfectly. Servers are very friendly and prices are OK. The restaurant is small and it seemed that the servers spent quite a bit of time turning people away or asking them to return later. Where they could squeeze people in, they did. Good selection of wines and regional bottled beers. The front of the restaurant doesn’t have the sunny side of the street during the Summer afternoon/early evening so this keeps the drinkers away. You can join them later if you wish.

  • A cosy place with tasty food! Polite and friendly staff. Do make a reservation before heading down.

  • Walked in on spec and how happy were we. Fantastic starters of the Mussel's and King prawns followed by the Lamb and Bean casserole along with the Chicken dish. Absolutely gorgeous. Staff were all friendly. Would highly recommend and will go back next time we are in town.
