The University of Alberta Devonian Botanic Garden is located approximately at a 30-mintue drive from Edmonton. A must visit for nature lovers and plan enthusiasts; the gardens promise a sprawling 190 acres of lush greenery. The noteworthy displays include greenhouses, a butterfly house, the Kurimoto Japanese Garden, herb gardens and numerous beautiful flower collections. There are guided tram tours available for those who prefer not to stroll and have limited time. The gardens play host to several fun events and concerts. Visitors can also visit the gift shop for souvenirs or purchase unique plants.

• With the exception of beverages purchased and consumed at the licensed on-site concession, or with permits, alcohol is not allowed at the Garden.
