  • In the spring and summer, it's a pretty nice place to have a picnic or barbecue. Lots of geese hang around the area though so just watch where you walk and sit. In the fall, the leaves turn into into the autumn spectrum and it looks amazing. Nice paths to walk down there, especially southwesterly across the bridge that crosses the river towards the Valley Zoo. Winter is when the Ice Castles and ice rink comes in and the rink is usually well maintained.

  • This area is lovely year round. There is lots of space to enjoy nature, lots of picnic spots for a variety of picnic styles. One of the best parks in the city.

  • Hawrelak Park's skating rink and just park in general is a must visit for Edmontonians. It's well situated, clean and a great place for a date or to bring your family.

  • Not sure if the rink was operational at the time of my visit. The rink was barely iced bit flood lights were in place. Will revisit again and post another review.

  • Fantastic place for a picnic lunch, battle boat rentals or various local events. Went there with my family and had a nice relaxing afternoon.
