Hawrelak Park Rink, Edmonton Reviews

  • Great rink. Plenty of space to skate around, so even in a busy day it doesn't seem busy. There is a lot of free parking around, but it's a bit of a walk to the rink. There is also a chalet with food and hot drinks for when you need to warm up.

  • Skating rink is very large and the ice is of a good quality. The skate house is pleasantly warmed and even has a snack bar if you are hungry. Friendly patrons and staff. This is a great place to take the family out for an afternoon skate.

  • The winter festival was fun. Nice people in the Cree village! Be careful of the ice on the paths though. I had a hard fall even though I thought I was being careful.

  • Probably the biggest outdoor skating rink in Edmonton. It's really nice to skate around and feel connected to the nature around you. There is a snack bar on the edge of the pond that also offers skate rentals, sharpening, and washrooms. The ice itself is decent but you must look out for cracks while skating or you'll trip. No hockey sticks are allowed on the pond but there is a shinny area not too far from the pond.

  • We went during the Silver Skate festival and it was a really good experience. The ice looked really good and we had right to a figure skating demo!
