Bukk National Park - Review
Bukk National Park is a popular retreat for nature lovers and offers great view of the Bukk Mountains. With limestone peaks elevating over 900 metres, the Bukk Mountains are among the tallest mountains of Hungary. These mountains have resulted into an ecosystem with surface geological formation, diverse flora and fauna.
Relic species from Mediterranean, alpine and Ice-age can be found here. There are over 1000 known caves below the surface; many of them bear the treasures of stalactite/stalagmites. The Szent Istvan- and Anna-caves at Lillafured make this underground accessible to public.
A collection of butterflies, insects and birds including the endangered species can be observed here.
Activities: Study centre, nature trails, walking, biking

Bukk National Park, Eger Reviews
We took a train from the town center(I think every half hour or an hour is scheduled to leave from the centre Szilvásvárad and walked back to our car on a road trip from Eger .It is a charming place and we will definitely be visiting again to reconnect with nature
It's an amazing place to go and spend some time. This huge national park is more than just a park because it's actually include a forest with rivers, cliffs and different natural formations which been saved and protected by government and laws. Fresh and clean air, singing birds, the smoothly caressing wind - only a few things on a long list for what is worth to visit this place. There's a road across the park which is very sinuous, so be careful if you driving.
We wandered away from the main area and followed the water for 2 km down and did a loop , just beautiful here , the bird song is amazing , we couldn't catch the train as we only had visa cards, so if you visit here have the right currency for drinks , or cable car / train
Easily affordable train ride up and down, if you don't want to hike. Nice and clean nature, quiet all over
Lots of things to do and see. Lots of walking!
