DAF Trucks is one of the two revolutionary industries in Eindhoven. The DAF Museum charts the history of this company though the technological advancement of its products, mainly commercial trucks. The collection of trucks here dates back to 1928. On the ground floor of the museum, there is a recreation of a village square lined with shops dating from the period in which DAF Trucks took off. You will also see a replica of the Van Doornes office here and see how the big company was managed in its initial days. There are more than 50 truck models in the museum that chart the evolution of design and technology. On the first floor of the museum is the Historical Room. Divided into ten screening areas, you can see take a visual tour of the history of the company here. Each screen deals with ten years of the company’s achievements. Likewise, the De Valk brewery next door was used as one of the workshops for truck manufacturing. Here you can see some of the equipment and processes required for manufacturing trucks in that era.

  • The kids loved it and me too. It's great that you can climb into some vehicles and you can really experience the size of a truck. The old cars look cute. The only thing which could be improved is the cafe - maybe some more cookies? But the rest is nice.

  • Could be more historical artifacts presented, films, pictures, models for the very early time of the company. But the rest showpieces are very interesting and informative, and don't miss the opportunity to get into the cabin of the most modern DAF truck (orange one in the large hall next to a wall).

  • An amazing museum for any auto or transport enthusiast. The staff are friendly, speak multiple languages, there are countless interactive displays, and best of all they allow you to sit inside certain DAF semi cabins. There is also a full cafe and even a bar inside.

  • Visiting the DAF Museum in Eindhoven brings you back to their high times between the 40's till the 70's. Everything in the museum shouts "nostalgia". From the cars, the museums interior and its volunteer employees. Most of them are pensioners who used to work on the cars that they expose now. For international visitors it will be a nice visit to check old cars, but expect minimal English communication and information. A visit to the DAF Museum might be fun for all ages.

  • Nicer than I thought! There are not only trucks, but also passenger cars that were built by DAF, buses, military vehicles. It was really worth the visit
