If you are in Eisenerz and you have not visited this beautiful lake the WHAT ARE YOU DOING? You just can’t skip the marvellous beauty of this place. It is a mountain lake in the east of Austria. The lake is named after a nearby castle. Located at the foot of the western Hochschwab range, this is a wide and long lake offering spectacular views to the visitors. There is a hiking trail encircling the lake through which you can enjoy the panoramic view of the surrounding. There is a legend associated with the lake that says that once a merman was caught in the lake. Not sure if there was a merman or not, the place, indeed, looks magical!
