  • Really cool basalt rocks and the beach sparkles with tiny bits of glass . You can find big pieces along with some shells if you take time to look. There is a beautiful old Japanese cemetery right next to the beach.

  • The glass & black sand beach is pretty, but what I found really fascinating was the remnants of very old cars and machinery embedded within the lava rocks. Also nice tide pools.

  • All picked over in terms of big glass pieces. Realized it used to be a landfill, cool to see but kinda gross.

  • It wasn't breathtaking, but there were still a variety of shapes and colors. And most of the colored pieces are super tiny. But we definitely had fun. We probably spent an hour there finding all the little colors. If you are on the island and have nothing to do, I would definitely recommend it. We went after Waimea Canyon fogged over and it was perfect, almost on the way back.

  • Very quiet location, secluded have to drive down dirt road, small parking lot. Great place to find sea glass. Rough waves. More glass noted after it rained and in the morning time. Recommended to bring towels and or water to clean off after because the parking lot is all dirt. Minimal crowds, maybe 5-6 people both times we we're there.
