Ella Spice Garden, located on the Wellawaya-Ella-Kumbalwela Highway, 2 mins walk from the Ella Railway Station, this spice garden offers a variety of activities like walking tour of the garden and cooking classes. You can spend an afternoon here learning about various spices and ingredients along with enjoying a real Sri Lankan meal. A visit to the Halpewatte Tea Factory, gives you an insight into how the world-famous Ceylon tea is manufactured, step by step. You will also be able to purchase fresh, factory produced tea here. Ravana Ella Falls, this gushing waterfall makes a very impressive sight during monsoons. Located at about 6 kilometres from the Ella Railway Station, on the Ella – Kithalella Road, these falls are a part of Ravana Ella Wildlife Sanctuary. Behind the waterfall is a cave, called Ravana Cave, where legends say, Ravana had kept Sita hidden after having kidnapped her.
