Located near west Highlands, the Keills Chapel is in the care of the Historic Scotland on the shore of Lake Sween. Marvelling at the picturesque natural beauty amid the mountains and the lake, you can enter and explore the chapel in any season, without any cost. The stone chapel houses important collections of ancient stone sculptures, six Christian cross slabs, a celtic cross and medieval grave slabs. Outside the church, a stone blank replacement of the celtic cross stands. From the graveyard, the view of the garden pastures with the flowing lake looks mesmerizing. The intricately carved grave slabs are also noteworthy. The 8th -9th century Keills Cross carved from the local grey-green epidiorite also signifies a lot of things carved on its body.
