Puthuvype Beach - Review
Even though not as famous as other beaches around Ernakulum and Kochi, the Puthuvype Beach has it own charm. The Sunsets at the beach are the highlight while sun-soakers love to take long walks here throughout the day.
The nearby Lighthouse that is one of the tallest in India, is accessible for visitors and gives you a panoramic view of the coast and the gorgeous sea. If you are looking for the ‘sun and sand’ experience, a visit here will be pleasant.

Puthuvype Beach, Ernakulam Reviews
One of the best beaches in Kochi. It is secluded and has a lighthouse that offers amazing view.
Nice clean beach. Very good for birding. If you lucky you might spot some passer migratory birds like gulls, terns etc. It also has a marshy area where you might find many herons, egrets, sandpiper etc.
Nice beach and nearest from city... But not very clean. Road to the beach is nice and it's only 4 km from marine drive but get ready to bear strong smell, if you are planing to visit this beach. You can't find any street vendors near by so get your bag loaded with snacks etc if you are planning to spend few hours there. Except cleanliness, everything else is fine.
A quite secluded beach in the Vypin area of Kochi. This place is perfect for a walk and to sit and enjoy the sunset.
Beach is good visit if you are travelling to Kochi.. I think it's a lot more better than many other beaches in Kochi.. it's not very developed but crowd vibe is good.. I visit often with kids to fly kite in the evenings too.. love it..
