  • A beautiful park very well maintained. There is a great play area for children. The swimming area is layered with smooth white sand. The catwalk/peir is a great place to unwind over the water. You & your family will love this giant park named after Andrew Jackson.

  • Still just as lovely as ever! This is one of those places that time, has thankfully, left untouched for the most part. I love seeing the older homes and their architectural designs from the turn of the century. It's like time has stood still, or slowed to an almost halt. The lake is beautiful! I've always loved driving through the city so much like Mayberry, with a laid back vibe and people who are full of Southern hospitality and manners to boot!

  • Very peaceful, well-kept park. It was kind of small though so it might get crowded on hot days.

  • Nice park to walk in. Swings are not safe even tho the just "fixed" them. It's overrun with people in the summer and springs. But when they are gone it's a nice peaceful place to walk it sit and watch. The sun rise or set.

  • Great family place. Many locations for gatherings. Sandy swimming areas that are roped off from boats. BBQ grills at many locations. Be sure to check out the 50s jet plane on outdoor display, been there since I was a kid in the 60s.
