  • So we went here after seeing the Stanley Hotel (it had always been on my bucket list) and I can confidently say this place is much creepier from the outside than the Stanley Hotel, which has a million tourist everywhere you turn. But I’m sure the fact that it was late autumn and no one happened to be around certainly added to the creepiness factor. So if you’re a horror fan, I would stay here and save yourself some money, over the Stanley Hotel! Though inside it’s very cozy and inviting, and obviously their key collection is definitely something to see! And the employees were very nice and helpful, even pointing out the main keys for us!

  • Stopped in to have their soup and salad bar with 8 family members. Food was very good. A 20% gratuity was built into the bill due to the size of the party. Too much for a buffet but whatever. Reason for the poor review - when I got home to MI I found that the waiter had tacked on ANOTHER 20% tip and basically stole from us!!!!!

  • Neat location, weird story, bad food! It takes a good bit to get there... kinda hard to find. It may have been better to stay... quiet and dark. We just went for the keys and the lunch, which we'd heard were good but both were disappointing. The keys were neither pretty nor terribly interesting, once we heard the story. They hang from the ceiling with tags so the tags are really ALL you see. The food was a soup and salad bar. $18 each for 2 weird kinds of soup, very little to choose from on the salad bar and 2 truly disgusting flavors of muffins. We didn't even order drinks... just water. I guess you're paying for the atmosphere...??? The hummingbirds outside were fun to watch, but hardly worth the effort. I'd skip this one...

  • The only saving grace was the really friendly staff. Only hiccup was we needed help and they were all having dinner so another guest had to help. There is absolutely no privacy and you can hear the guests in the next room as if you were in the same room. No air conditioning, the walls were cracked (pulling away from each other), and leaving windows open just invites bugs and birds in. There is a historic appeal and the idea of a communal bathing area. Not recommended for a romantic getaway or if you need some good rest after hiking.

  • I went with a client we enjoyed the food an atmosphere. We attended the history by Bruce Davies which was awesome and gave such insight to the area of Estes park and the Baldpate Inn. Ive read the other reviews and just wanted to say we really loved coming up for our visit and look forward to my next food and staff were all wonderful.
