Estes Park Aerial Tramway, Estes Park Reviews
Well worth the money. The view alone is worth the fee. You also get to feed cute chipmunks. They will come up to you and take the peanuts out of your hands. Too adorable. 100% recommend to do this while you’re in town. NOTE: I would get there right at open time so you can enjoy the nice cool breeze and skip the wait. We went around 11am and there was an hour wait. We decided to come back the next morning.
The views were worth the 45 minute wait to get on a tram. Got to see my first chipmunk ever. Great for bird watching as well. They sell bags of unsalted peanuts for $2.50 which you can give to the chipmunks and birds. I'd advise wearing appropriate shoes if you're going to climb/hike. There are some loose bits on the trail to the summit that wouldn't feel too good in sandals.
Nice view of the town of Estes Park and surrounding mountains. Fun to go up the tram. Since there are only 2 small trams that hold about 9 people each be prepared to wait to go up and come back down. At the top you can do some light hiking and just take in the views. There is also a cafe and you can feed the many chipmunks with peanuts. Fun time. I believe it's a must do while staying in Estes Park. Great activity for kids as well !
Great view of Estes and Rocky Mountain. It was a quick accent up and you can spend all your morning or afternoon up on the mountain. You can feed the chipmunks with the bag of peanuts you purchase at their coffee shop there. And you can go for short hikes nearby. I’d recommend going first thing in the morning or late afternoon.
I brought my kids to the tramway during our vacation. We got here at 9:00 on Tuesday morning, knowing that's when they open. We still had to wait 1 1/2 hours to go up because of the line. It was worth it once we got to the top, though. The kids enjoying the tram ride up. The views once we got to the top were incredible! We bought peanuts at the store and fed the chipmunks. We had a great time hiking and seeing the wildlife.
