One of those sites in Estes Park which has a historic significance attached to it. The hydro plant which once brought electricity in the whole village, Historic Fall River Hydroplant is a perfect place to go back in time. Built by F O Stanley in 1909, there is a demo session showing the generation of electricity in earlier times, organised for the visitors. There is no admission charge still the organisation is open for donations.

Historic Fall River Hydroplant Reviews & Ratings
Informative, free, donations recommended. Self, guided, or can call and arrange guided tour, good for an hour
This museum was definitely one of the highlights of our 7 day stay. Amazing story. I would highly recommend it to anyone in the area.
Good example of turn of the century electrical and mechanical engineering. Good information on the 1982 Lawn Lake flood and the damage it did to the town and the hydroelectric plant. Very small parking lot.
Excellent tour guide fun free educational thing to do
Beautiful, historic spot! Lovely place to have a picnic with breathtaking scenery while picking up historical tidbits and facts. Be sure to pack out what you bring in; this is bear country.
