Located off a secluded beach in Evanston, Illinois, is a beautiful lighthouse called the Grosse Pointe Lighthouse. The lighthouse consists of a conical light tower with a huge lantern on the top. The guided tour comprises of a video session which explains the history of the lighthouse. After looking around the tower, visitors can spend time at the adjoining beach near the lake which is very peaceful and unpopulated.
