Located on the University of Alaska Fairbanks campus, the five acre garden is a treasure trove of sub-arctic horticulture. The garden is also quite whimsical; for example, there is experimental growing that explores what happens when cabbages get 24 hours sunlight (spoiler: you get giant cabbages). Altogether, there are about 3000 different plants here - vegetables, flowers, berries - most of which are native to Alaska. The collection is utterly gorgeous.

Georgeson Botanical Garden Reviews & Ratings
Absolutely beautiful. Lots of benches to sit and enjoy the garden. There's a cute children's garden with a hedge maze, a natural wetlands area, a vegetable research garden, and beautiful flower gardens. At first I thought it was very small, but it just kept going. I spent an hour there and could have stayed longer if I didn't have dinner reservations.
Such a great place to spend an entire afternoon exploring. There are flower gardens, a ginormous maze, a children's garden, a cute little pond and tons of other things to explore. Definitely a must do.
Small botanical garden onsite at the University of Alaska. Walk through plantings done by research teams at the University. Very limited descriptions regarding the research or the plans. Therefore it is hard to appreciate the significance of the plants. The setting is very pleasant and offers nice walking paths but not much else.
beautiful garden! Well worth an hour or 2 of your time. Beautiful peonies that smell wonderful! If I lived here I’d visit all the time. Clean bathrooms.
What a beautiful place. Quiet early on a Sunday. So many fabulous plants flowering.
