This hotel has been completely remodeled from what I understand. The room was clean, linens and towels were fresh. We chose this hotel because we were on a very tight schedule for a family funeral. We needed to check-in early and the website promised "Early check-in & late check-out - Stay at your pace". However, we were very disappointed to learn there was a $35 fee to check-in early. Still, the staff was friendly and accommodating. The room had a mini fridge, a hair dryer, an iron and a small ironing board (which was broken). The biggest problem with the room was the lack of outlets. With 2 cell phones and a laptop to charge, there was only one available outlet in the room. We had to unplug a lamp so we could charge both phones.
Beds are comfortable, rooms are updated with pleasant decor, super clean, staff goes way out of their way to meet your every need. I arrived without a reservation and when I told the man at the desk that I was in town for a funeral he gave me a discounted rate. I can not say enough good things about the staff. I stayed for a week. The breakfast was good and served in a pleasant environment. The young man working in the breakfast room was delightful helping myself and others guests.
Never again. Everything is misleading about this place. We checked in and were told the pool was open closes at 8 but opens 7AM. We go to the pool the next morning at about 8:30 locked, we ask if it can be unlocked and are told the pool is closed until after Memorial Day. Website says hot breakfast which I guess is true if you toast the hard bread. With a side of old fruit. The only thing going for this place is the comfortable bed, bathroom was dirty. Definitely not worth the $204.
After driving for many hours I called the inn and a very friendly & pleasant woman named Johanna answered the phone. She set the tone for our stay. When I went into the reception hall she again greeted me with pleasantry. She was very helpful in picking out the right room. Upon entry into the room I was very surprised to see such inviting beds, a spacious room with all the amenities. It's so nice to stay at a local inn instead of the huge chains that don't offer customer service. The next morning the breakfast was very satisfying. There was a staff member present who constantly helped even with directions to get back on the road. We will definitely be back.
I was in town to bury my mom which, as you can imagine, was not something anyone wants to experience. The hotel was my oasis - it was cozy and comfortable. There was no stress. Reservations, checking in, checking out were all very easy. Stay was very polite and helpful and always accessible. I love that the limo/car service from the NY airports brings you right to the door of this hotel. Simple, convenient.
