About Pioneer Museum, Flagstaff
The Pioneer Museum is a cultural history museum and forms the historical legacy of Flagstaff. It is actually an old hospital, which is now transformed to a museum. The original building was created in 1908 with rocks from Mount Elden. The entire museum is dedicated to preserving and sharing Flagstaff’s history of ranching, logging, transportation, and general life as a pioneer. There are three permanent exhibitions perpetually at display. This includes an hospital, decade rooms and the grounds.

Took my kids and we all enjoyed the museum. Lots of great info and very fair price. Definitely worth checking out. Took us about 2 hours to go through.
This one is absolutely worth a visit. Be sure to visit upstairs where the rooms are laid out by decade.
Located just outside North of Flagstaff on hwy 180 is a must stop specially for your kids and history buff! Plenty of parking and handicapped friendly. Please wear shoes and NO sandles. There's small rocks on the grounds and lots of walking plus stepping up to do! Take lots of pictures or video those magic moments with your family. Check for business hours.
Lovely little museum, stuffed with exhibits too. Pulls no punches and tells the truth about local history and minority experience. Well done!!!! Great outside exhibits also.
We had the most wonderful time and learned so much about the history of Flagstaff and surrounding area! The people there were wonderful and spent time talking with us and answering our questions! We loved it Ron, Helen and Anne
