My husband, cattle-dog Winnie, and I recently stayed in the Cloud 9 Relaxation Cabin (designed for six or more) because the Heavenly Hideaway was booked. I wish that I could add something new to existing reviews, but we had the same experience as others: (1) Janet is an exceptional host. She oriented us to the house and the property, which made the stay seamless. Knowing what was most important to my husband (TV for the World Cup and Internet for work) she didn’t leave until she’d made sure we were operational with both. (2) The hot tub mattered (used it EVERY evening) and it was pristine. Janet checked and adjusted the chemicals and then showed us how to properly use the controls and cover. (3) The cabin is pet friendly, but read the policy – bring a bedspread if your dog sleeps with you and coverings for furniture if your dog will be on furniture. Because of those simple rules, anyone who does NOT have a pet, should feel 100% comfortable staying in the cabin. Not a dog hair in sight! (4) We knew nothing about the area and because of the notebooks that Janet keeps, we were in great shape for any information that we needed. (5) Drive times to area highlights can be exaggerated by some owners, but not in this case! You REALLY are as close to the Parkway and to downtown Asheville as the descriptions say you are. (6) We were lucky enough to be there during blueberry season and Janet was kind enough to let us pick some for our stay; it was a highlight. And, the dozen eggs FROM THE CHICKENS THAT ARE AROUND, was such a neat gift. (7) The cabin REALLY is stocked with everything that you could need. We bought all of the ingredients to prepare BLTs and got back having forgotten mayonnaise. Darn. Oh wait, there’s a small jar in the fridge – seriously. Salt, Pepper, Plastic wrap and Foil? Unbelievably – yes. I could keep typing, but really, I’m just repeating what others have said. The cabin is a wonderful place eclipsed only by its lovely and interesting owner, who has done everything possible to make your stay exceptional.
We couldn’t ask for a better stay! The house was clean and comfortable and the property was amazing! We enjoyed the seeing the farm animals and hiking the trail on the property. Janet greeted us upon our arrival and delivered fresh eggs one morning! She was very accomadating and easy to get in touch with! This was the perfect place for our weekend getaway! We can’t wait to visit again!
This place was amazing!!! We went for a kid free weekend and it was so relaxing! Everything is well thought out and Janet, the owner, is attentive and is more than prompt in getting back to you in a timely manner!! This is a great place to bring kids or have a kid free weekend as all the cabins fit different needs. The location is beautiful and central to everything. I highly reccomend this place for anyone wanting to stay in Asheville! You will not be disappointed
Great Vacation! This was our third stay at the Heavenly Hideaway Cabin and we can't say enough about it. It is nicely appointed and rustic with lots of custom woodwork. We absolutely love it there and plan to come back. The cabin is always clean when we arrive. It is quiet, peaceful perfect for getting away from the hustle and bustle of city life. We really enjoy sitting on the back porch and listening to the birds. The first night of our stay we had an awesome storm hit that made for some great sleeping weather. The hot tub is quite inviting once the temperature starts to go down in the evening. We love taking walks around the property to see the cows and the pond. And we like to feed the chickens our scraps, they are such characters. The blueberries were extra tasty this year! I think this was our best visit so far because we had our visit planned out just right and knew what we wanted to do and where we wanted to go. We did just the right amount of sightseeing and just the right amount of relaxing! We highly recommend the hike up to Chimney Rock...it is well worth the sore calves the next day. We found a great restaurant called Vinnie's...also well worth ride into town as it is away from all the touristy areas. Thanks for the great stay Janet :) Hope to see you again soon!
I enthusiastically recommend the Cloud 9 Relaxation Home! The house was clean, comfortable, and the perfect amount of space for our group of 10. We especially enjoyed drinking our morning coffee on the deck looking out over the beautiful view. Janet was responsive and helpful, even showing us some fun aspects of her working farm. We would definitely stay again.
