Palazzo Alfieri Firenze, Florence Reviews - Write a Review

  • Currently here on our honeymoon and fairly disappointed with how noisy our room is. We are next to reception and it sounds like they are playing music starting around 7am. After having 6 hours of a time difference from our home this isn’t a pleasant surprise to have in the morning. Turn over service has forgotten to give us additional towels and refill the coffee area as well. Will not return. Wanted a higher class service here.

  • The greatest hotel I've ever been in Italy!!!!The stuff very very good and polite,The rooms are amazing and it has an excellent view to the river ARNO!!!

  • I went here with a Booking reservation discount, best price for the period on the year and for the location. Since I was travelling alone I wanted something really central, cosy, elegant and worth the 4 days off from work. The hotel gives a 15% discount ticket if you eat in their restaurant! The photos don't show not even a quarter of how delicious and tasty the food was! And fresh ingredients! The Prosecco welcome glass is appreciated, the staff is welcoming and professional. Ask for a wine recommandation- stunning discoveries!

  • Quite nice. Euro-style sleek decor in the rooms, right on the Arno, and very close to Ponte Vecchio and stylish shops. Check-in is through the Hotel Bretagna next door, via a slow and tiny elevator or steps (same is true for entering the Alfieri as well). Not sure how quiet room along the riverfront are, but on the back side it's nice and quiet.

  • We booked a suite with a view and it was worth every penny. There were two rooms: a living area with two designer sofas, coffee table and side board which was home to the mini bar and acted as a desk for us. The second room was the bedroom, which boasted a HUGE bed with comfortable pillows and two massive windows overlooking the river Arno and we could see the Ponte Vecchio too. Sunrise and sunset were amazing to see from the room. We had to check in to their sister hotel, the Hotel Bretagna, which was a few doors down. Staff were friendly and kind. They let us check in to our room early, which was a bonus. Breakfast was served at a cafe downstairs, which was really good. There was a selection of different types of ham and cheese. Lots of croissant - type items, fresh fruit juices and salads, yogurts, scrambled eggs and bacon strips. The bathroom was fantastic. It had both a huge bathtub with jacuzzi and a seperate walk in rain shower. Room was huge and the toiletries were of good quality. Hotel is a 2 minute walk from the Ponte Vecchio, 3 minutes from the Uffizi Gallery, 5 minutes to the Palazzo Pitti (and Boboli Gardens) - just across the bridge and a little to the left, 4 minutes to main square which is home to the Uffizi and lots of eateries. Ideal location for visitors! A secret: go to the fourth floor and walk up the stairs to the roof. There's a lovely panoramic view from there and some lounge chairs to relax on! Suggestion to the hotel: free bottles of water would be nice upon check in. Also, the bar downstairs can be a little noisy on the weekend and despite being on the third floor, we could hear people laughing and thumping music before midnight. Soundproofing the rooms facing the river would be a good idea. Recommend this hotel to couples, families, solo travellers and those on business. Looking forward to staying here again!
