Frank Lloyd Wright's Rosenbaum is one of the few pre-Second World War Usonian houses in Alabama. It was designed by the famous architect Frank Lloyd Wright for Rosenbaum family. The term Usonian was coined by this architect to mark the houses that are small and often single-storied. This house, though repaired recently, is one of the finest of such designs and attracts many visitors. Today, this is a public museum where you can also see some of the original furniture pieces.

  • The Rosenbaum House is a dynamic example of Wright’s Usonian style. The house is tucked away in a quiet, residential part of Florence, and you might miss it if you aren’t looking for it. My tour guide was very knowledgeable, and it took about an hour to tour the house. The property has been beautifully maintained. I highly recommend you tour Rosenbaum House if you are in Florence!

  • It was different. It you like Frank Lloyd Wright, you will probably love it. If not, you will probably be turned off after hearing time after time what a smart man he thought he was....

  • Very affordably priced tour ($10/person). Our guide was incredible. He very knowledgeable on the house and its history. Definitely recommend visiting if you are a Frank Lloyd Wright fan or if you happen to find yourself in the Florence area and are looking for something to do.

  • I've visited several Frank Lloyd Wright buildings and they're all different and yet similar. This one could have been done by no one else: low horizontal lines, public street walls, open private walls, few materials. If you have any interest at all in architecture or design, you'll enjoy the tour.

  • Our whole family enjoyed touring the home! Our tour guide was very kind and informative. We we're glad we stopped. Also gathered some more inspiration and ideas for building our home. Such great lighting!
