About Walmart Supercenter, Florida City

Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. (), doing business as Walmart, is an American multinational retailing corporation that operates as a chain of hypermarkets, discount department stores, and grocery stores. Headquartered in Bentonville, Arkansas, the company was founded by Sam Walton in 1962 and incorporated on October 31, 1969. As of January 31, 2017, Walmart has 11,695 stores and clubs in 28 countries, under a total of 63 banners. The company operates under the name Walmart in the United States and Canada. It operates as Walmart de México y Centroamérica in Mexico and Central America, as Asda in the United Kingdom, as the Seiyu Group in Japan, and as Best Price in India. It has wholly owned operations in Argentina, Chile, Brazil, and Canada. It also owns and operates the Sam's Club retail warehouses. Walmart is the world's largest company by revenue – approximately $480 billion according to the Fortune Global 500 list in 2016 – as well as the largest private employer in the world with 2.3 million employees. It is a family-owned business, as the company is controlled by the Walton family. Sam Walton's heirs own over 50 percent of Walmart through their holding company, Walton Enterprises, and through their individual holdings. Walmart is also one of the world's most valuable companies by market value, and is also the largest grocery retailer in the U.S. In 2016, 62.3 percent of Walmart's US$478.614 billion sales came from its U.S. operations. The company was listed on the New York Stock Exchange in 1972. By 1988, Walmart was the most profitable retailer in the U.S., and by October 1989, it had become the largest in terms of revenue. Geographically limited to the South and lower Midwest up to the mid-1980s, by the early-1990s, the company's presence spanned from coast to coast‍—‌Sam's Club opened in New Jersey in November 1989 and the first California outlet opened in Lancaster in July 1990. A Walmart in York, Pennsylvania opened in October 1990, bringing the main store to the Northeast. Walmart's investments outside North America have seen mixed results: its operations in the United Kingdom, South America, and China are highly successful, whereas ventures in Germany and South Korea have failed.

  • The worse Walmart I have ever been to. I had my car serviced and tried paying in the auto department my bill with a few items that I was going to purchase and and they wouldn't let me so I go to the front of the store and the cahier was taken over 30 minutes to attend just two customers ahead of us in checkout. Super slow....When the lady in front said that she was delaying everything the cashier said well I'm on the clock by the hour. Another cashier came over to her and was saying she didn't care if the customers have to wait. Like she didn't care that she is taking her little sweet time scanning everything on other peoples watch. The entire time they wore chatter boxing. I told an elderly manager and he didn't bother to open another register. Time is money and going here is a total waste of time. No one cares here go spend your money elsewhere!!!

  • Learn to speak English please I make an effort to speak Spanish. Trying to shop there and asking questions is like talking to a tree and a brick wall. At least the brick wall listens and the tree stays quiet. The smell of weed is strong in that place, employees don't care, managers care even less, and nobody picks up the phone in human resources, another thing this place is really rude, most cashiers don't know how to count money, nothing wrong with people with Autism but when everyone has it , now it becomes a problem. This Walmart should really drug test it's employees. Stop picking people and hiring people from rehab center's, if I would have stayed any longer I think I would have became addicted to heroin. I rather go to Target and shop for groceries at a gas station. Homestead Florida City you disappoint a lot of people,

  • Organized store product wise is great. Lacks serious customer service at a management level. Needs to hire more cashiers. Place is always packed and like 5 cashier's for the front of the store only. It's truly a shame knowing, that it's a store that many tourist visit as it is on the way to the Florida Keys, Biscayne National Park and the Everglades National Park. And always get treated in the poorest way.

  • I bought a necklace at the jewelry dept. I checked the receipt, like I always do. I noticed the necklace was 10.00 more than it was advertised on the box it came in. I took my receipt and box back and they were very helpful and returned the money I was overcharged.

  • I've had my fair share of poor Walmart experiences, but this tire center, was the absolute worst. Worst Walmart experience, and worst Tire experience of my life. They deserve zero Stars, and I deserve to be paid for all the time they wasted
