Shasta-Trinity National Forest Reviews & Ratings

  • Breathtaking views! Beautiful trails! Loved every minute of it... We weren't expecting snow in the middle of October, but hey, it made our visit more of an adventure!

  • A beautiful part of the country! Amazing views along the way. We did a relatively easy hike.... Make sure you have your back country permit with you to camp out.... Also make sure you are prepared to take care of mother nature in a leave no trace sort of way. Remember to make sure we all take care of things and leave them for future generations!

  • Seeing My. Shasta rise out of the forest is amazing. Beautiful country, great fishing on the Upper Sacramento. Friendly people. Be sure to visit Yaks Cafe in Dunsmuir for special burgers and great music. Great vibes.

  • Shasta Trinity is a jewel of a place. Endless miles of unspoiled wilderness, well maintained Forest roads, crisp clear alpine lakes, and amazing backwoods camping opportunities. I highly recommend this area to anyone that enjoys the outdoors.

  • Really enjoy this place, views are remarkable and the drive to the coast is really scenic. I would give it more stars but there is some serious road repair taking place so be ready for a little delay and a little, Umm how should I say. Unpaved riding. I think that was delicately put. This is one of my favorite motorcycling roads in the state, well it’s on the list anyways. Be cautious of wildlife especially at dawn, they do dart out in front of vehicles. Courteous drivers will signal you to slow if they have passed some. Enjoy the ride and ride safe.

  • Can you go kayaking at Lake Shasta or Lake Siskayou? If so, can you rent a kayak and life vest? What are the rental fees? Thank you, Lea Cates

    • Even though some say that kayaking is allowed, I would suggest calling the park authorities directly on 530-226-2500. They will help you with rental information as well.
