About Casablanca, Fort Lauderdale

Casablanca (Arabic: الدار البيضاء‎‎, ad-Dār al-Bayḍā’; Berber: ⴰⵏⴼⴰ, Anfa; local informal name: Kaẓa) is the largest city of Morocco, located in the central-western part of the country on the Atlantic Ocean. It is the largest city in the Maghreb, as well as one of the largest and most important cities in Africa, both economically and demographically. Casablanca is Morocco's chief port and one of the largest financial centers on the African continent. The 2012 census, adjusted with recent numbers, recorded a population of about 4 million in the prefecture of Casablanca. Casablanca is considered the economic and business center of Morocco, while the national political capital is Rabat. The leading Moroccan companies and international corporations doing business there have their headquarters and main industrial facilities in Casablanca. Recent industrial statistics show Casablanca retains its historical position as the main industrial zone of the country. The Port of Casablanca is one of the largest artificial ports in the world, and the largest port of North Africa. It is also the primary naval base for the Royal Moroccan Navy.

  • I went to Casablanca Cafe during happy hour because it was conveniently located near the hotel where I am staying. The bartender, Sam, took great care of me. The drinks were strong and sweet, and all of the food delicious! I took advantage of the happy hour specials, which were very reasonably priced. I had the shrimp kabobs, pork tenderloin, and calamari small plates. Each tasted great, and the sauces used were delicious as well. I will definitely be making another visit before checkout!

  • Had a great time with my new girl friend visiting from out of the country. after having a blast together on Ft Lauderdale Beach we were famished! Good food and wait staff. Nice piano and couple singing. Will be back!

  • I was just there for working vacation. Picked this spot randomly and i did the right choice! Their shrimp cocktail is one of the best that I've ever had. It's humongous yet crunchy and juicy. The chicken penne was amazing as well. Our waiter was really nice and friendly.

  • My family and I absolutely loved this place. The building is an amazing, historical home and adds much to the experience. The food is fantastic and the drinks are exceptional. While in Ft. Lauderdale for vacation we had dinner here twice we loved it so much the first time. Our waiter, Webster, was second-to-none and he served us both nights. We went with his recommendations on everything and none of us were disappointed.
