Stranahan House, Fort Lauderdale Reviews - Write a Review

  • Cute and informative. It's really small so I'm not sure if you get the most bang for your buck but the staff are simply charming.

  • Definitely worth a visit. Look forward to spending an hour here, maybe after lunch. The guided tour tells a captivating story that will satisfy your craving for local history. Call ahead to make sure they aren't closed for a private event. Wear comfy shoes, and be prepared to go up and down the staircases. Buy something from the gift shop and help support this non-profit organization.

  • It's a historical place with cool history no doubt, but it's definitely over-hyped. Don't plan on spending a whole lot of time here. Call the place to make sure they haven't closed it for a private event.

  • Loved learning about a preserved piece of history from the area. Tour guide Tommy excellent, enthusiastic, knowledgeable. Made the tour interesting and fun. Met John in the gift shop who had met Mrs. Stranahan on several occasions-- made history come alive even more. Well worth the time to visit and step back in time.

  • The Tour was full and the Property caretaker and the Groundskeeper of 45 years and Stranahan Family friend gave us a VIP personal Backstage tour with all the Juicy details and stories! Awesome! Couldn't have asked for a better tour! #StranahanHouse #FtLauderdale #History #Florida
