Walt and Amy, frustrated with the lack of good beer in Southwest Florida, decided to homebrew their beer in Sanibel. This eventually led to the formation of Point Ybel Brewing Company, as they moved from their own kitchen, into a full scale pub! Combining unique beer, quirky live music and a very child out crowd in a vey hip establishment, this is one of Fort Myers’ essential nightlife stops. Most people combine a stop here with a stop at the 11: Eleven Cafe next door, from where you can order food as you drink.

  • Chilled atmosphere, great people and staff!! The Brewer Jordon makes the best craft beers around!! My favorites are the sours and can't wait for all the new ones to come out.

  • I’ve been to Point Ybel twice now, the first time before I started keeping a catalog of craft beer experiences - but I do recall a Sanibel Red that was tasty (which they still have) and an odd IPA called Snook Bite that the Mrs. disliked, but I took it in stride. This past weekend we camped near Ft. Myers and on our way back home we stopped in again. The tasting room has been adorned with a new look & their present selection of brews was eclectic. They’ve reformulated the Snook Bite IPA and it now is a much more palatable brew than the original!

  • My husband and I really enjoy this brewery for four reasons. Great beer, great staff, great music, and a great vibe. The beer is excellent. There is a good variety and new batches are always coming out, but favorites are also kept on tap and are consistent. I enjoy Boat Cleat, No See-Um, Endless Summer, Snook Bite...If you can't find something you like here, you should probably avoid craft breweries all together. Head brewer, Jordan, is happy to share his vast knowledge of brewing, the ingredients, water acidic levels... He has it down to a science and can go deep into it. The rest of the staff is very welcoming and knowledgable as well. Katie is usually working when I go in. She has a way of making everyone feel like an old friend. This is one of the few venues that has really good music in Southwest Florida. National acts come through here and even the local musicians are really good. Whether it's G Love or the weekly jazz night, I'm always impressed. Finally, the vibe at Point Ybel is really friendly. Lot's of nice people (and dogs) having fun. Staff and the owners do a great job keeping this a fun place to drink fantastic beer while listening great music with old and new friends. We'll be back soon.

  • My wife and I were on a SW Florida vacation (we're from Boston) and checked out a number of the local breweries. Point Ybel is by far the best! Every beer is terrific! Head brewer Jordan does a great job! "Boat Cleat" is the best session IPA ever. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Shout-outs to Tim, Heather and especially to Shane (Shanna)!!

  • Excellent local craft brewery with the coolest staff. Katie has the most radiant vibe and really makes this little brewery stand out above the rest. The beer is great too. Black Mangrove is a must try.
