Fountain Acres Foods Reviews & Ratings
It's a really nice market. They have great meat and cheese selections. The don the best I've ever had.
Oh how I love this place ❤️❤️ they have a great selection of powdered soups, cheese's and dips. I haven't found one that I don't like yet. They have bulk supplies of pastas, flour, sugar, oats, barley , candies galore, fresh fruit, a deli, cheese's that I've never heard of before and samples throughout the store. They also have homemade ice creams, cracklings, fresh butter, breads, and deserts. Not to mention swings, picnic tables, deck chairs, flowers , wind chimes and shepherds hooks. Don't expect to be able to pay with your credit/debit/ bank card. Check or cash only as it's run by the Amish. Stop by and check it out.
Fountain Acre Foods has become a pilgrimage of sorts for us. Anytime we're near we have to visit, and if I lived nearby I'd be there nearly every day. Known to locals as the "Amish Wal-Mart," they have everything from bulk goods to a fresh lunch. Imagine Whole Foods without the pretentiousness. The bakery will make you gain a few pounds just from sniffing the homemade breads, cakes and pies. The deli counter has delicious sandwiches, while meat and cheese selection is top notch. I'd love to take home one of each of the fresh peanut butters, they're simply incredible. There's spices, soup fixin's, candies, fresh produce, soaps, and so much more, including the most beautiful sounding wind chimes you'll find anywhere. Manned by a great staff who always greet you with a smile and a kind word, if you don't leave here happy I suggest you seek counseling immediately.
Fountain Acres is one of my very favorite places! It is an Amish Store that has a great variety of things to look at, sample, and has so much of things from my childhood - fresh farm grown products and frozen farm meats, old fashioned canned goods, canning jars, products, supplies, even Amish cookbooks to teach you how to do it yourself. They have a large supply of speciality and medicinal teas - and a whole isle of herbal medicines, tinctures, salves, books about it, and things related you might need. They have a bakery with lots of offerings to tempt you. There is an excellent deli-meats & a cheese department with samples where you can order as much or as little as you actually want. They have a new ice cream section to tempt you. My very favorite thing is their sandwiches made fresh for you as you would like to have it on fresh made bread. If you find a store packed fruit or vegetable that is dried that you truly like it is possible to get it fixed for you in a larger size. Everyone there is friendly and helpful and you will be glad you traveled to Fountain City for the experience! You can only use cash or checks to purchase so be prepared...
The exotic cheese were fire!! I had some ghost pepper cheese and really enjoyed it. The sandwiches are amazingly fa for the price! Easily two meals on a sandwich. And the tomatoes are so amazing.( I don't even like tomatoes)
