The chapel of Saint-Pierre is a fishermen chapel decorated by Jean Cocteau, and is located at the foot of the old town of Villefranche-sur-Mer, Quai Courbet at the entrance to the Port de la Santé. It was constructed around the second half of the sixteenth century. The building was used as a shed for the nets and the equipment of the fishermen. As shown by an inscription on its façade, at the beginning of the 20th century, it was used as a fishing court where the fishermen of the area settled their disputes. Visit this Chapel for an exquisite view of the sea and to explore the historic art within the structure.
