Parque Das Aves, Foz Do Iguacu Reviews
Excellent place to visit when you go see the falls. It is right next to where the bus (line 120) drops you to see the falls. Admissions isn’t too expensive. The park takes around 1-1.5 hours to do comfortably. Really incredible experience to see all the beautiful and colorful birds. They also have a few other animals, such as an anaconda, boa constrictor, and a tarantula!
To walk around this place is quiet special. Some of the cages are open so you can walk through them and have birds and butterflies flying all around you. If you take your time and look at everything it should take you about 3 hours... this includes a meal in the restaurant which was nice but overpriced. The birds looked in good health and well looked after. Would recommend to stop here of you are visting the falls. There is a tourist shop on the way out to buy toys etc.... Don't forget your camera....
If you are visiting the waterfalls it would be a HUGE mistake not to go to this bird park as well. This isn't your typical zoo where you see animals from a far behind a fence. Many of the habitats are built so that you are inside of them! The birds will come right up to you and to see these magnificent animals up close was an absolute highlight of my trip. A toucan flew within a foot of me and was practically posing for my photos.
An amazing birds zoo. In some of the places within the park, you enter inside big, really big, cages with lot of bird species inside that you can get very close and even touch them. Great forests, great views and a broad variety of birds. Very well maintained while even keeping it wild. Excellent park!
A lovely place to visit, with some really interesting species. The Macaw cage is just brilliant. there are about 30 to 40 Macaws flying around you. Entrance and food is not overpriced, and if you have your big travel bags with you, they have lockers that you can store your bags in for about 5 GBP. Plus it is just on the other side of the road from the falls entrance.
