A privately owned zoo and recreational area, this is one of the must-visit attractions of the city. Exhibiting diverse species of birds, animals and butterflies, the park is spread over an area of 40 acres.
It is also one of the largest bird parks in Latin America and one of the prime conservatories of rare and engendered species of birds.
Beautiful trails adorn the park leading you to the habitats of animals and birds peacefully dwelling in their natural surroundings. Approximately 1000 birds from over 160 different species can be observed. The park is also home to 25 species of butterflies. Red ibis, bare-throated bellbird, and flamingos galore are some of the species worth observing!
The verdant Atlantic forest adds to the mystifying effect of the park!

Parque Das Aves Reviews & Ratings
I was initially skeptical about this place. There is a lot of push and advertising all over the place and our driver insisted for us to visit this first, before the water falls. But...we had a lot of fun and it was very interesting for our 7 years old. The work they do in the park is very important and it was great to be able to support it. Beautiful animals very close. Amazing experience.
Absolutely great place to visit. You could get through the whole thing in an hour and a half of you needed to but we were there for 4. Gorgeous birds and lots of interesting plants and flowers along the walk ways. Highly recommended and you can easily walk to the falls if you're up for a big day. We did both on the same day but it is tiring
Very complete place to see the aves. I awed by how much the flamingos in this place and very close as easy to take clear pictures of them. I love how these aves not scare at all to the visitor as they most likely interact easily with the guard who feed them. My most favorite is toucan, so so pretty!
I was pleasantly surprised with the conditions the animals were kept in, with one or two exceptions the enclosures were suitable and well maintained. Friendly staff and well thought-out route to see all the animals. (Keep turning left and you'll see everything).
Go there! You really should! Here is why: Its a beautiful bird park, its not too expensive, you can go inside some of the cages and closely encouter some of those beautiful creatures. Further you learn a lot about the birds you see there, especially why so many of them are endangered and what you can do to help to protect them. Seriously, its worth every cent!
