  • The main attraction for the city. You will find a hunch of tourist walking around and plenty of gift shops if you wish to grab something. Not much for food options in the direst area but you can find some just outside of the surrounding areas.

  • What can I say, I grew up close by. It is amazing how this area has been upgraded over the last few years. Although it is not completely finished, one can imagine what it will look like; it will be awesome. The recreation of an old part of Frankfurt that was lost during the war.

  • A large town square that's about as close as you're going to come to old world Germany while in Frankfurt. Timber buildings line the square, making for a picturesque site. Also lining the square are a number of restaurants and shops. This is a great spot for tourists visiting Frankfurt, which also means it's obviously full of tourists. So prepare accordingly. There will be crowds and the restaurants a bit more overpriced than normal. The square also includes a visitor information center, making Römerberg a good place to start your Frankfurt visit. It's also central to many of the other sites in town. Consider beginning your journey here, grabbing a bite to eat, taking some photos, but otherwise there's not much more to the square itself.

  • The Frankfurt Historical Museum, a tourist information office, a large souvenir store, lots of places to eat and drink, and other shops in a town square surrounded by buildings that were built in the distinctive medieval German architectural style, such as the Römer, which served as the Frankfurt City Hall for 600 years. The Gothic style Roman Catholic Imperial Cathedral of Saint Bartholomew, aka Frankfurt Cathedral and Kaiserdom, with its 312 ft. (95 meters) high tower and spire is also located here.

  • Little German town right in the middle of Bankfurt or Mainhattan, or any other busy, modern nickname you want to give Frankfurt. I got off track. This is a very cool square with those outside timber and full of beer gardens and other places to eat. Every tourist who comes through, will visit this spot, so get ready for them. I mean, me. They seem to have large booths and festivals here, but it was pretty empty when I was there.
