The Main Tower - Review

This is a 200 meter tall skyscraper, which provides you with an amazing view of the Frankfurt, Germany. In fact, this is one of the highest skyscrapers in Frankfurt. This high-rise building is particularly popular with the people of Frankfurt as well as the tourists. It is the only one in the city that has a publicly accessible viewing platform as well as a restaurant. Furthermore, Europe’s highest radio and television studio is located on its 53rd and 54th floor. It provides a 360 degree view of the city, which is worthy and something that you will definitely relish as a tourist.

Bill Viola and Stephan Hubber are two artists who have embellished the entrance of the building with two artworks. These modern works of art can be freely accessed and viewed by the public so be sure to go and see them.

The Main Tower, Frankfurt Reviews

  • Great views, especially before sunset when the sun is going down behind Frankfurt's tall buildings. Very good vantage point over the huge railway station, airport and outer Frankfurt areas. No time limit so on a clear day you can sit up and take in the view to your heart's content.

  • You get a very nice view of the city for 7,50€, which is pretty great. Be prepared for a 20 minute wait though, and a potentially disgruntled security worker. But the attraction itself if very much worth it!

  • Amazing views of the city. Worth stopping to visit. Helps give a good picture of the layout of Frankfurt.

  • €7.50 to go up the 54th floor for a good 360 view of the old and new town. If you’re in the US, you’d like The Reunion Tower in Dallas TX better 😜

  • There was no staff guiding you where to go and we were kinda clueless. The view was not as expected and not comparable to other big city viewing towers but it’s okay. The restaurant was closed when I went and so I only spent about half hour or less at the observatory to check out Frankfurt from the top. There was a gym in one floor down the observatory platform but only open to members. Ticket costs €7.5, quite cheap but there is nothing much to see inside neither so don’t expect too much if u decide to go
