If you are looking for a place to hike and relax, Fort Granger Park in Franklin is a perfect destination to go with your family. Built in 1862, the park is located at a short distance from Franklin’s Pinkerton Park. The park is well-kept with many walking trails and overlooks the south part of the city. Surrounded by scenic views and natural surroundings, Fort Granger Park is beautiful during the summers and gets crowded on weekends. The park is also ideal for biking, running and has a lot of history associated with the fort. The park is a great spot if you want to exercise too.
Fort Granger Park Reviews & Ratings
This place is great for multiple activities like walking or running. Great views and lots of shade from the trees. A very nice park that is very photogenic.
Nice walking trail, but was expecting buildings or foundations, nope. Great signage about the battle and the fort
Cool little hike. Very short and easy. Close to the city and pretty easy to get to. Next to it is a children playground and a big walking/running lap.
Beautiful quiet area with an interesting history. As you walk around, you will see plaques containing historical facts about the area along with pictures.
Enjoyed the walking trails with my grandson.
