The Woods At Bear Creek Reviews & Ratings
Not Impressed at all . Camp sites had no picnic tables, No fire rings, The grass was not cut and standing water everywhere. Had 6 other campers on the grounds and all said the same not coming back. The restaurant was the best thing , Great food at a fair price. Don't think I will return there.
Planned to meet some long time friends here on 6/13/19 (Thursday) for their unlimited pasta night. We both drove over an hour to meet here as it is in the middle of where we're both from. Well, turns out that at 6:30pm on a Thursday the restaurant was CLOSED! What amazes me about this is that their Facebook made NO MENTION of closing during their POSTED hours! But wait, it gets better! I called on 6/12/19 (Wednesday) to CONFIRM that they would have seating for out party of 10 and the gentleman I spoke with was supposedly the "owner" who seemed to express great excitement with our visit and said that they would have no problems accommodating our group and that he looked forward to serving us quite literally the next day. So why this place was closed is beyond me, there were no signs, there was no one there, the doors were locked. I'm very dumbfounded and will NEVER waste my time on the drive there. Horrible management and I fully believe every bad review here!
I took photos that won't upload of the green pool and the shacks that are setting in the RV areas. They were right across from us and there were mattresses in front of the windows and doors open. They serve no purpose they look horrible. They have no pride of ownership don't mow lawn don't maintain property at all.
Also! The zip lines were fun, and the staff were nice, you got to canoe, or kayak. That was all fun. We got to play pool in that little house. Even put neighbors were friendly too!
This is just part of our experience and we have tried for 3 months to get a response to our complaint letter and emails. Not a word. They simply don't care. We were ripped off! What we got for what we paid is a joke! Like I said, this is only an excerpt of problems we had.... 4. There were curtains on all the windows EXCEPT for the bathroom! This left us feeling exposed and uncomfortable. In clear view of the next cabin. 5. To me, the worst part of the cabins were the bedrooms. Three dresser drawers were covered in mice or rat feces! The edges all around the room had the same. But behind the headboard it was piled up along with dead bugs! I was afraid to go to sleep. It was just nasty. 6. Our cabin had no towels, wash cloths or soap. We called and a fellow brought just towels. We inquired about the rest, he said he'd be right back with them. 7. The much bragged about "lounge" building was quite a surprise, too. Upon entering there was a huge trail of rodent feces and a dead mouse in the middle of the floor. Spiders, webs and eggs covered everything. My scores: Restaurant 4 out of 5, golf carts 1 out of 5, activities we got to do ZERO due to rain, cabins 1 out of 5, staff 3 out of 5, management 1 out of 5, cleanliness 1 out of 5, safety 1 out of 5, enjoyment 1 out of 5.
