  • Was quite fun. However it is a bit slow going having to wait for a group of 12 every 10mins. But i guess it ensure both active and non active people can safely see the glacier.

  • Had a great guide well worth the money. Dont think it would have been half as good without the knowledge of the guide. He pointed out all sorts of facts on formation and history of the area

  • The staff were really friendly ! The helicopter flight to reach the glacier was a bit short but really nice. Walking thru that landscape was a very good experience, our guide Connor transmitted us his passion for the glacier with fun ! Thanks for the day 🙂

  • Terrible customer service. Tried to do the heli hike a month and a half ago, got cancelled twice. Came back down from Auckland specifically for the hike, and it got cancelled three more times. Every time, we had to call the center to get an update, as they didn't bother to call or email us. Staff were definitely none too friendly, and couldn't be bothered to offer any other trips to us or any other options for activities during our stay in Franz Josef. If we'd had more updates about weather conditions, or even if the staff would have offered other options, I might have been happier with the service. As it stands however, we're several hundred dollars out of pocket due to an appalling lack of information and disappointing customer service.

  • Amazing tour and real friendly and engaging tour guides but the cloths provided were extremely stinky. So get to see all these incredible ice formations but always with that sweaty smell... so if you can, just bring your own jacket. The ones provided aren’t even anything special. “Weather proof” sounded like something special designed for the glacier but really they’re just using standard (quite over used) jackets from Kathmandu/MacPak.
