Discovered around 1900s, this track was first discovered by a surveyor- George J Roberts. Till date, this track has been the first spot for all the travellers coming to Franz Josef to explore the glacier.
As you move up on this track, it leads you to ice-carved rock. On the way, you will come across Hende’s Hut. This hut might look tempting to stay by. If you have such plan in your mind, just ignore it. Stop by to take a lunch break and then move around. Explore the suspension bridge between Rope Creek and Roberts Point. The bridge might look a bit scary. But if you adventure soul is looking for some thrill, then you should definitely cross the bridge. And the view from the end of this bridge is simple mind blowing. The glacier, mountain peaks, waterfalls and rock falls located a distance way will put you in awe of its beauty.
