Viva Wyndham Fortuna Beach, Freeport Reviews

  • Great facility. Clean friendly safe. Everything you need. Great food. Great service. The bathroom in my room needed major update but that didn't really bother me. Beach, pool, club, games, food beer wine all included. They will take you out on tours on land and sea for a charge. Family friendly. Places to watch kids while you do your own thing if you want. Very large resort, you are not on top of each other. Plenty of room to walk around, privacy, immaculately groomed, lots of beautiful plants and flowers. Close to market and other nice sights. You don't need a car, they will take you wherever but they have everything you need on the ground, you really don't need to leave for anything if you don't want.

  • Our vacation was great. The buffet not so much. The restaurants were good. But very relaxing. The beach was clean plenty of palm trees if you want some shade and the water was very swimable, We walked a long way out from the shore. Sunrise was beautiful

  • The place was pleasant enough. Unfortunately I went for the Bahamian experience and it had nothing to do with the Bahamas. The food was fulfilling but not even the smallest taste of the surrounding culture. So if you want a nice view all inclusive surroundings. It's the place to go. But if you're looking to experience the culture the people the closest you'll come is your server or your house cleaning person

  • We did not pay for a 5 star resort & didn't expect one. The rooms needed some updating, but I didn't book for the room - how much time do you actually spend there. We were in room 1265. The beach was beautiful and the the food kept me full. The Cafe' was my favorite but the buffet worked two nights also. My husband & I went there for a quick getaway for our birthdays. I would go back again, no question asked. Carver, food supervisor appeared every evening no matter which restaurant we were eating at - good job Carver. Housekeeping was top notch - we asked for coffee & wash cloths once and we had them every day!

  • We booked our vacation through Vacation Express. I was told that we needed to upgrade to ocean view in order to get a King bed, so we spend over $250 more to get that. When we arrived, we did not get the King and were told that they did not have a request for one and we could not get one. It was clearly on our paperwork, but were told to take it up with Vacation Express! The staff was not at all friendly or apologetic. The shower leaked all over the floor, which they did fix, but we could not use it for 24 hours after they caulked it. We arrived at 3:30 pm and were told that the buffet would not open until 6:30 p.m. and we could not eat in any of the sit-down restaurants that evening. We were told that we could make reservation for only two of the three sit-down restaurants. You could not eat at those restaurants without a reservation - no walk ins. There was only one bar, which typically had a line. The entertainment/activity staff was very friendly and accommodating, which is more than I can say for the wait and hotel staff.
