Bread In Common, Fremantle Reviews
Relaxed atmosphere and service was timely - not super friendly but acceptable. Nice open space feeling but the tables are a little close to each other. Went for lunch on a weekday and the food was served quickly. Had the lamb ribs and sweet potatoes and both were tasty, although the lamb was on the fatty side. Interesting that there were 3 items on each plate, which made it a bit awkward to share for a table of 2. Two share plates, bread for two and a bit of garlic butter, and two waters were $50, so on the pricey side. Would go back to try other dishes but wouldn't rush back. Finally went back to try their breakfast and while the service was good, the food could have been better. Their washrooms could also be better lighted.
Fantastic spot! Foodporn all over the place. Menu changes daily and it’s beyond delicious. Happy and attentive staff, pleasant warehouse ambience with chill music and decor. Must visit when in Fremantle ❤️
This place has no equal - quite simply one of the best cafe/restaurants, not just in Fremantle, but in Australia. I love all the self-absorbed experts on here who've never run a cafe or a restaurant in their life throwing out lines like, "oh coffee was weak" or "things take a bit long from the bar." Seriously people. If you had any idea about the level of thought and expertise required to get everything right in this game - and I mean everything - you'd never make another mindless comment on social media again. Bread In Common know their stuff. The service is spot on, both in tone and consistency and warmth. The food is flawless; well priced, easy to eat and understand; and contemporary without getting too carried away with itself. The decor is world class and totally on-point with the demographic they're aiming at. I cannot praise this venue highly enough. I looked for faults on my 3 or 4 visits there and couldn't find any. Bread In Common really is as good as cafes get anywhere in the world.
Incredible food. We ended up asking the waitress to choose dishes for us and weren't disappointed. The level of service suffered a little the busier things became during the evening (they may have been short staffed due to issues beyond their control) but overall it was a great experience and definitely one I would recommend.
Terrible service. The blond waitress was not pleasant at all. She came and serve me a glass of water but not at my partner (both of our glass was empty). The brune waitress came and fixed it. The blond was hardly looking at us when we did order. The food was good tasting but to expensive for literally 2 pieces of lamb in a plate without any vegetables for my partner, and 4 little pieces of chicken and 1 lettuce leaf in my plate. Really disappointed aswell about the $10 little glass of "banana milk shake"... like also the drinks really expensive and in small glass. Still so hungry after that. So disappointing.
