Fresno Chaffee Zoo, Fresno Reviews
This is an amazing zoo. I, like many others, grew up when it was slightly shabby and perpetually struggling until the early 2000s; now, it is THE jewel of the Central Valley. With exhibits in both Spanish and English, a cheap entry fare, and an intimate setting coupled with the gorgeous Safari half, the Chaffee Zoo is absolutely the star of any casual tour of Fresno. If you are a resident, purchase the yearly membership -- it more than pays for itself if you visit more than twice a year. The community and heart behind it is bigger than any nationally-recognized zoo.
Family oriented. They are fixing it to be better but it's still worth it to go visit. Cafe there is bomb have souvenir cups refill just $1! Overall awesome experience love it! Have a water play area lots of fun things to do!
Fresno Chaffee Zoo is an awesome place to take the kids and have a relaxing day. There are many animals here to see and you can even put your hands in the water to pet the sharks and stingrays. They also have an area for the kids to get wet and cool down. It is very big so if you want to try and see everything you need to get there early. I definitely would recommend the Fresno Zoo to others.
We buy the one year pass. Good price. Lots of fun family events throughout the year. And they keep building new additions to the zoo. I wish some of the animals had more roaming space. But overall..my kiddos always enjoy a visit to the zoo!
I hadn't been to the zoo since before they rebuild all of the enclosures and exhibits. Before I used to complain about how they animals looked and how they seemed lethargic so I stopped going. Especially because they didn't have a lion. But now it's beautiful and the animals are so lively. They did an awesome job with the remodeling. They're still making improvements but there's plenty to do and see.
