Fresno Chaffee Zoo Reviews & Ratings
We love bringing our little ones to this zoo. The giraffe feeding is the favorite stop for our family. Going to pet the farm animals isn’t quite hitting the list yet at least. We love stopping by to see the tiger, rhinos, and the elephants. There are a lot of animals to see and the enclosures are well kept. Not only that but the zoo keepers are highly knowledgeable. The cafe at the zoo is great also with tasty and healthy options for kids and parents. The membership is well worth and has paid for itself many times over with the number of times we go a year. Not only that but the entrance line for members is always much shorter or nonexistent. The Fresno zoo is a great place to spend time as a family.
Had such a wonderful Saturday at the zoo! There have been so many updates, new exhibits, experiences, food choices--this zoo is a point of pride for any Fresno resident. We spend the whole morning and early afternoon and got to see everything the zoo has to offer. There are zoo staff at many of the exhibits and they were all very helpful and very knowledgeable about each animal. Would love to go back soon.
I haven't been here since the sea lion cove was constructed and wow! I Love the updates that have been done! So many beautiful animals in the African safari and they are not yet! I'm definitely coming back. But also, I love that they hold special events here, really cool.
Love, love love Fresno Chaffee Zoo. This oasis just off 99 and Olive (or Belmont) is a real joy to see - repeatedly. As Fresno has grown, the zoo has grown in size, quality, and aesthetics. It's a landmark worthy of being proud of our city. While it is not what I would call inexpensive, it IS a great value for your dollar and should be considered a special biannual or quarterly special treat for the kids (and you). Both exciting AND exhausting, plan for lunch (and rest) at the Kopje Lodge (great food choices), the Safari Cafe, or bring your own picnic. To see the whole zoo requires a LOT of walking so try to plan your visit where you land at food/rest at appropriate times. Highly recommend.
Really great zoo! Lots to see and do here. We spent about 5 hours here and STILL didn't see everything, but we were plenty satisfied with everything we did see and do. Besides general admission, you can pay a little extra for a giraffe feeding experience and to touch sting rays. Several animal trainer talks throughout the day at various locations.
