  • My group of five rented 3 kayaks and one canoe. All staff were very friendly and efficient. They are busy on a nice day, so arrive early to get in the water at your scheduled time. I really appreciated the kayak launch; I've never seen that before. You don't even get your feet wet getting into your kayak. This part of the lake has beautiful scenery for your paddling adventure.

  • Easy kayak rentals with friendly and knowledgeable staff. We didn't have a reservation on a busy Friday afternoon but we were still able to get right on the lake in a tandem kayak. It was a windy day and they offered to refund us our rental, but we still chose to kayak. The lake is beautiful with views of the surrounding mountains, as well as some cool islands to explore while you kayak. Paddled for two hours and had a blast.

  • We reserved two tandem kayaks that were ready as soon as we got there. The equipment was in great condition. We had maps to help us figure out where to go. We kayaked to a few islands, beached, and then walked around. The lake is beautiful and so are the islands. Even though it got crowded, everyone was courteous and enjoying themselves. We would definitely rent from them again.

  • The "summer junior attendant" told us we did not have to watch the safety video. He said he showed us what we needed to know and that the person who was the boat attendant would show us the rest. We told him that we were not very experienced and when we told the boat attendant that we had not watched the video, he seemed surprised but just shrugged it off. We failed to see the markers in the water per the map we were given, that indicated where we should and shouldn't have been boating. The scenery was beautiful and we were having a wonderful time, but we were lost most of the time trying to figure out where we were. The body of water is massive with many areas that you can go to. We did not see markers that were on the map and while trying to navigate back to the dock, we apparently hit a rock causing the back of the boat to drag down for a few seconds making a terrible noise. When we arrived back to the dock, the boat attendant yelled at my husband "Dude, you're in the wake zone, you can't go that fast!" If we had seen markers, (as shown on the map), he certainly wouldn't have been going fast. When the guy raised the motor it showed damage to all 3 blades of the propeller resulting in us paying an additional $227 on top of the 2 hour rental fee. We are glad and lucky that we were not hurt, however we should definitely have watched the safety video and I think they need to have much bigger and better signs or markers. We would never deliberately cause damage to property or ourselves potentially. Only 1 person asked if we enjoyed ourselves besides the damage incident. All the others cared more about the boat and the office manager made some stupid remark about us not heeding the warning signs. Well, duh, if we saw them, we sure would not have headed straight for them!!

  • This is a great place to experience Dillon Reservoir. Get a bite to eat or enjoy a beverage at the Island Grill. Rent kayaks, SUPs and boats from the marina office. Enjoy a picnic on the beach or at a one of the picnic tables along the docks and waterfront.
