The McInnis Canyons National Conservation Area is a 1,23,400-acre conservation area located in the state of Colorado, west of Grand Junction. This natural reserve has rugged sandstone canyons, natural arches, spires, and alcoves that have been naturally carved into the Colorado Plateau. A 24-mile stretch of Colorado River flows through this conservation area. Many recreational facilities at MCNCA include hiking, biking, float boating, horseback riding, hunting, wildlife watching, backpacking, camping, and star gazing. This natural reserve has many geological, paleontological and scientific sites.
