About Fukuoka Tower, Fukuoka-shi
The 234-metre tower is the tallest seaside tower in Japan. The 8000 half-mirrors that cover the tower gave it the name of 'Mirror-Sail'. Visitors actually have three different observation decks from which to take in the views - at 116 metres, a cafe-lounge at 120 metres, and another deck at 123 metres. Inside, there's also a lover's area, where a couple can purchase a lock to be set on to the indoor fence. The tower is also interesting to view at night… from the outside that is, when it is beautifully illuminated with LED lights.
Unlike the Tokyo Tower, which has a similar view, this tower is rarely crowded, and it's cheaper too. Fun fact: it featured in a Godzilla movie.

Fukuoka Tower, Fukuoka-shi Reviews
Important thing first: you can get a bit of discount if you show your non Japanese passport. When we went it was a bit cloudy but we were still able to enjoy the experience. Btw, if you're not familiar with Japanese attractions, they sometimes have a photo session thingy. This is not included in ticket price and you don't have to get and pay for the photo if you don't want to. They're pretty cool about it. Now about the tower, there's a place for you to buy love lock and do the lock-the-railing thingy. Can't say much about the view as the weather was terrible when we went. There's also a cafe to enjoy the view over coffe or meals.
Beautiful views of the city, and on a clear day, the mountains behind it and some islands in the distance over the ocean. Observatories are one of the best ways to get a sense of space in a new city, so if you’re into that I would definitely recommend coming here.
Fukuoka Tower: a 234 meters tall tower located in the Momochihama area of Fukuoka. It is the tallest seaside tower in Japan. The highest observation deck at 123m has a 360-degree view of the surrounding area. Different illuminations based on season. About a 15-min walk from the nearest subway station. Reasonable pricing (¥640 with foreigner discount). Please note that there have been a huge number of Korean tourists lately (they come by tour buses). Due to the popularity of Instagram, they would create huge lines at the key photo spots. If you arrive at the same time it could get a little annoying as the tower is tiny. If you have a special occasion and want to relax and enjoy the view, I would recommend making a reservation at the sky lounge restaurant. ¥12,000 (total for 2 people) for a 2-hour full dinner course with one free starter drink and a cake with message). You will be able to enjoy the view in peace. Start at 6:30 pm and you will be able to catch the sunset.
Good place to catch the skyline of Fukuoka. Scene would be better in spring/summer months. 640 Yen for adults, while children go up for 320 Yen. Its the 3rd tallest tower in Japan, and its more than 100m above ground level. The love locks section where you can pen love notes is 1 floor below the viewing deck, and its 1000 Yen per lock. There is no toilet up there so remember to empty your bladders before heading up.
Located in front of the beach. Public transit is available. Fukuoka Museum, the City library and science centre are just minutes away. Beautiful beach front. An ideal place for family especially in summer. Admission is very reasonable.
